We recommend that you spend time with an animal before adopting to make sure they are a good fit for your family. Once a dog is reserved we conduct a home visit with your family and pets to make sure everyone gets along. We'll work with you to find the best match for your family and, most importantly, for the greyhound.

Yes! We works very carefully to match the right greyhound to the right home. Some greyhounds would prefer a home with older children, some would like a quieter home with no children but we work incredibly hard to allow everyone the opportunity to adopt one of these amazing dogs.

Absolutely! As long as you give your greyhounds plenty of toilet breaks outside and enough exercise, greyhounds make fantastic flat pets as they are incredibly lazy.

The Rule of 3

3 Days to Decompress:

  • Give them space and time. Don't force affection on them
  • They may feel overwhelmed
  • Not comfortable enough to be themselves yet
  • Might pace and pant more than normal
  • May not want to eat or take treats

3 Weeks to Learn Your Routine:

  • Set strict routines and boundaries
  • They start to learn your routine
  • Feel more comfortable, less anxious
  • Figuring out their new environment
  • Realises this might be their new home
  • Starts to build a bond with new family
  • Starts to show their personality and more affection

3 Months to Start to Feel at Home:

  • Keep the strict routine. Can start introducing new experiences
  • Feel comfortable in their new home
  • Gains a sense of trust and security with new family
  • They know their routine and know what's happening in their day
  • Lets their true personality shine
